Yoga can serve as the doorway to understanding our innermost desires and fears, patterns and conditioning. Self-understanding, when coupled with deep and curious dialogue, can serve as a foundation for growth and transformation.
Seeds of Change offers a modern-day approach to applying the ancient teachings of yoga to behavior change. As a dynamic path of Self-discovery, yoga offers insight for understanding the driving forces of behavior and integrating behavioral change.
Upon completion of this program, students will come away with a deeper understanding of change through yoga philosophy, behavior science, and powerful inquiry.
In this program students will learn and explore:
- Yoga philosophies that support Self understanding, the mind and action;
- Various yoga practices to embody the philosophies, explore one’s own nature and integrate the teachings;
- Basic scientific research behind behavior change, the cycles of change and obstacles that often keep us stuck in patterns and resistant to change;
- Techniques for engaging in deep inquiry that can help us recognize and shift where we are resistant to places of receptivity and growth.
